How we label advertising

KidCritic publishes some content that generates revenue. KidCritic currently has no paid placements. If a brand ever pays KidCritic for a placement, that content would be identified as an Advertisement feature. An advertisement feature is promotional content for which a brand pays KidCritic for the placement itself. It would not be an independent editorial recommendation and would not be included in our editorial rankings, ratings or picks.

Some links on KidCritic are affiliate links. When a reader uses an affiliate link and completes the relevant purchase or other qualifying action, KidCritic receives a commission or other performance-based payment from the retailer. Affiliate commission does not determine whether a product appears in Our Top Picks or how a product is assessed.

We keep paid placements and independent editorial content separate. Paid advertisers do not approve, rank or influence our independent picks, ratings, scores or editorial verdicts.
